I started taking up hand embroidery during the pandemic in 2020. I was looking for a hobby that could be a fun, creative outlet. I had a small children at the time, and they needed a lot of attention so I picked up embroidery because I could work on it for a little bit, set it down as needed. I lean into Kentucky themed items because I love our beautiful state! I also use many floral elements in my work, often inspired by the colors and textures of my own garden. I also do custom embroidered portraits, taking your favorite memories or people and capturing them in fabric. Hand embroidery has been an avenue to be a present mom, while also having something for myself. Going from hobby to micro-business has been such a sweet surprise at this point in my life, as I never intended it to be so. Thank you for your support to makers all across the nation!
